Each year we hold the In2Touch Boat Party to celebrate the end of the Spring and Summer touch leagues throughout London. With over 200 players and friends celebrating another great season on the 22nd August. This party starts at Tower Pier with a boat cruise along the Thames River where all the players get to take in all the sights the river has to offer such as, The London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, all the amazing bridges and many many more wonderful sights. The best thing about this cruise is that as we leave the pier at 7:30pm everyone gets to see the sights in daylight as well as at night time and with all the lights it is an awesome experience.
At the Boat Party everyone gets to acknowledge all the work the Venue Managers and Referees put in throughout our Spring and Summer seasons as without them we wouldn’t be able to run all the leagues! The teams put on their glad rags and let their hair down, with some players unrecognisable to most with their touch gear on! Then there were a few teams that decided to do their own fancy dress which looked awesome, The Vikings had Viking helmets to add some flair and Après Touch had some of their players wearing those fantastic tuxedo shirts.
Even though the Boat Party and summer leagues are over we still have the Autumn Leagues, the September Shootout and the Active Touch Leagues to look forward to. As well as the best tournament of the year The Social World Cup which takes place on the 20th September in Putney Wandsworth. All the teams get nominated a country to represent which they dress up in fancy dress and play the tournament in their fancy dress.
